On a GPS or maps program*, copy or type in:

* Please note that in the past some GARMIN GPS systems gave inaccurate directions when very close to the monastery. Google, Apple, and other GPS turn-by-turn systems will get you to the monastery easily (you can simply search for “Temple Forest Monastery” and the address should come up).

Driving directions from Boston:
(1 hour 20 mins from the center of Boston)

Rte. 3 North (big highways):

Take Rte. 3 North toward Nashua
→ Take Exit 8 toward Amherst/Milford onto Rte. 101-A Bypass (go for 1.4 mi.)
→ Turn right onto Rte. 101-A West (go for 6.6 mi.)
→ Turn left onto Rte. 101 West toward Peterborough/Keene (go for 5.1 mi.)
→ Stay on 101 West by turning left towards Wilton (8.5 miles)
→ Slow down at intersection with Rte. 45 and
→ Turn right onto Webster Highway (across from intersection with Rte. 45)
→ Follow Webster Highway and turn left onto North Rd
→ Take first left onto Converse Rd
→ Take the first right onto Derbyshire Lane, and drive up to the barn and turn left into the parking area: you have arrived at the monastery. Proceed to the Sala (the brown house across from the barn, which is 32 Derbyshire Ln).

An Alternative Short and Scenic Route from Boston: 
(1 hour 30 mins from the center of Boston)

Take Rte. 2 to West Concord
→ At rotary turn right onto Rte. 119 (which is also Rte. 2A at this point)
→ Continue on 119 to West Townsend. At West Townsend:
→ Right on Canal St (signposted “Greenville/New Ipswich”)
→ Continue as Canal becomes Mason Rd
→ Bear left at Poor Farm Trading Post as Mason Rd becomes Greenville Rd (also called “Turnpike Rd”) – this is now Rte. 124
→ Continue on Rte. 124 to Rte. 31 (an overhanging flashing red light)
→ Turn right on Rte. 31
→ Turn left on Rte. 123 to Greenville
→ In Greenville keep straight to follow Rte. 45
→ Follow Rte. 45 all the way till it ends at Rte. 101
→ Cross straight over 101 onto “Webster Highway” (a small road)
→ Follow Webster Highway and turn left onto North Rd
→ Take the first left onto Converse Rd
→ Take the first right onto Derbyshire Lane, and drive up to the barn and turn left into the parking area: you have arrived at the monastery. Proceed to the Sala (the brown house across from the barn, which is 32 Derbyshire Ln).

Driving directions from Logan Airport:
(1 hour 40 mins from the airport)

Follow signs for I-93 and the Sumner Tunnel
→ Take the Sumner Tunnel
→ Keep left and take the on-ramp to I-93 North (go for 10.9 mi.)
→ Take Exit 37B toward Waltham onto I-95 South (go for 5.5 mi.)
→ Take Exit 32B-A toward Lowell onto Rte. 3 North (go for 27.9 mi.)
→ Continue on “Everett Turnpike” for a half mile
→ Take Exit 8 toward Amherst/Milford onto Rte. 101-A Bypass (go for 1.4 mi.)
→ Turn right onto Rte. 101-A West (go for 6.6 mi.)
→ Turn left onto Rte. 101 West toward Peterborough/Keene (go for 5.1 mi.)
→ Turn left towards Wilton, staying on Rte. 101 W (8.5 miles)
→ Slow down at intersection with Rte. 45 and
→ Turn right onto Webster Highway (a small road opposite the intersection with Rte. 45)
→ Follow Webster Highway and turn left onto North Rd
→ Take first left onto Converse Rd
→ Take the first right onto Derbyshire Lane, and drive up to the barn and turn left into the parking area: you have arrived at the monastery. Proceed to the Sala (the brown house across from the barn, which is 32 Derbyshire Ln).

Driving from the North:

Get to Greenfield, NH and go east on Rte. 31 (5 miles)
→ Right on Old Temple Rd through woods (3 miles)
→ Right on Converse Rd (1/4 mile)
→ Take the first right onto Derbyshire Lane, and drive up to the barn and turn left into the parking area: you have arrived at the monastery. Proceed to the Sala (the brown house across from the barn, which is 32 Derbyshire Ln).

Driving from the West:

Get to Peterborough, NH and from the junction of Rte. 202 with Rte. 101
→ Go East on Rte. 101 (5.7 miles)
→ Slow down at intersection with Rte. 45 and
→ Turn left onto Webster Highway (a small road opposite the intersection with Rte. 45)
→ Follow Webster Highway and turn left onto North Rd
→ Take first left onto Converse Rd
→ Take the first right onto Derbyshire Lane, and drive up to the barn and turn left into the parking area: you have arrived at the monastery. Proceed to the Sala (the brown house across from the barn, which is 32 Derbyshire Ln).
